Renovations/Important Information:
Renovation Advisory:
Beginning May 15, 2008 the hotel is scheduled to begin repair work on cosmetic damage caused by the October 2006 earthquake.
Several safety inspections after the earthquake revealed no area of concern regarding guest safety. The specific areas
affected are the main lobby, 7th floor Reef Lounge and the 5th floor Ocean Terrace. No work will take place outside the
hotel's central area.
The repair work will take place between 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. From 7:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m., all work will be of a quite
nature. Every precaution is in place to lessen any inconvenience and discomfort to guests. The areas of significant work
will be completely blocked off and areas in which there is less intensive work (lobby) will have protective covering.
The 7th floor Reef Lounge and Ocean Terrace will be closed, and breakfast will be relocated to the oceanfront Coast
Grille restaurant. The Coast Grille will provide a spectacular setting for breakfast and as an evening lounge with unparalleled
ocean views and a terrific ambiance. The coast Grille will continue to serve dinner nightly.
The tentative completion dates is July 31, 2008 however may extend into August or September.
As compensation for guests, the hotel will be offering a $35.00 daily resort credit per room during all dates of
the repair work. In addition, each room, upon departure, will receive a one (1) night room certificate good for any future
stay.
